Start Here

For athletes, parents, and first-time visitors

Start here if you are deciding whether a product belongs in an athlete’s routine.

What age athlete are your products intended for?

Letterman Standard is built for student-athlete routines and for families reviewing products before use. The right age depends on the specific product, the athlete’s needs, and the guidance on that product label.

Athletes under 18 should review the Supplement Facts panel with a parent or guardian and consult a qualified healthcare professional before use.

Should a parent talk to a healthcare professional first?

Yes. Parents and guardians should consult a qualified healthcare professional before a student athlete uses any supplement, especially if the athlete is under 18, has a medical condition, has allergies, takes medication, is pregnant or nursing, or is already using other supplements.

How do I know if a product is appropriate for my athlete’s sport?

Start with the product page and label: Supplement Facts, serving size, active ingredients, ingredient amounts, other ingredients, suggested use, warnings, allergens, and product-specific quality or certification details.

Then compare that information with the rules for the athlete’s school, team, league, athletic department, or governing body. When in doubt, ask the athlete’s coach, athletic trainer, compliance staff, or a qualified healthcare professional before use.

Does Letterman Standard provide medical advice?

No. Letterman Standard content is for educational purposes and is not medical advice. Dietary supplements are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

What is Letterman Standard?

Letterman Standard makes transparent nutrition products for student-athlete routines. We build around clear labels, no proprietary blends, responsible guidance, and product information families can review before adding anything to a routine.

Are supplements necessary for athletes?

Not always. Supplements should supplement a routine, not replace food, hydration, sleep, recovery, training, coaching, or medical guidance. Our goal is to make product information clear enough for athletes and families to decide whether a product belongs in a routine.

What makes Letterman Standard different?

Nothing hidden. Nothing hyped. We do not hide active-ingredient amounts inside proprietary blends, make miracle claims, use confusing label language, or push athletes and families with fake urgency.

Ingredients & Labels

What is in the product and why it is there

Use this section when you are reviewing caffeine, stimulants, allergens, ingredient amounts, or label transparency.

Does Letterman Standard use proprietary blends?

No. Our standard is to list active ingredients and amounts clearly so athletes, parents, and families do not have to guess what is in a formula.

Where can I find the Supplement Facts panel?

Each product page will include the Supplement Facts panel, serving size, active ingredients, ingredient amounts, other ingredients, suggested use, warnings, and allergen details where applicable.

Do your products contain caffeine or stimulants?

Each product page will clearly state whether the product contains caffeine, stimulants, or ingredients that may affect energy, focus, sleep, or heart rate. If a product contains caffeine, the amount per serving should be listed clearly so athletes and families can compare it with other sources of caffeine.

What is the difference between active ingredients and other ingredients?

Active ingredients are the ingredients included for the product’s intended nutritional purpose. Other ingredients may support flavor, texture, mixability, stability, or manufacturing. Product pages identify both so the full formula is easier to review.

Do you explain why each ingredient is included?

Yes. Ingredient information is written in plain language for athletes, parents, and families. Product pages and the Ingredients page explain what each ingredient is, how much is included, and why it is part of the formula.

Do your products contain sugar, artificial colors, flavors, or sweeteners?

Product pages list the full ingredient panel and explain relevant flavor, sweetener, color, and sugar information. Families should review the label for each product before use.

Where do I find allergen information?

Allergen details appear on product labels and product pages where applicable. Athletes and families should review the full ingredient list, Supplement Facts panel, allergen statements, and warnings before use, especially if the athlete has a known food allergy, sensitivity, or medical condition.

Are your products gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, vegan, or vegetarian?

Dietary and allergen attributes vary by product. Product pages identify relevant claims or restrictions, and families should review the label before use.

Where can I find lot numbers and expiration dates?

Lot numbers and expiration dates are printed on product packaging. Keep this information available if you contact us with a product question, quality concern, damaged item, or adverse-reaction report.

Still have a question?

Ask about a label, ingredient, or allergen.

Share the product name and the specific ingredient or label detail you are reviewing, and we will point you to the right product information.

Use & Safety

Responsible guidance before use

Review suggested use, serving size, timing, and situations where professional guidance matters.

How should I use a Letterman Standard product?

Always follow the suggested use on the product label unless a qualified healthcare professional gives different guidance. Do not exceed the suggested serving.

When should an athlete take it?

Timing depends on the product and the athlete’s routine. Product pages include suggested use and timing guidance where relevant. Athletes should also consider training schedule, meals, hydration, sleep, and guidance from a qualified professional.

Can products be mixed with water, shakes, or other drinks?

Follow the preparation directions on each product label. Product pages explain format, suggested serving, and mixing guidance where applicable.

Can I take more than the suggested serving?

No. Do not exceed the suggested serving unless directed by a qualified healthcare professional.

Can Letterman Standard products be combined with other supplements?

Ask a qualified healthcare professional before combining supplements, especially for athletes under 18, anyone taking medication, anyone with a medical condition, or anyone using products with overlapping ingredients such as caffeine, electrolytes, creatine, vitamins, minerals, or herbs.

Can products interact with medications or medical conditions?

They can. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before use if the athlete has a medical condition, takes medication, is pregnant or nursing, has allergies, or is under 18.

What should I do if I feel unwell after using a product?

Stop using the product and consult a qualified healthcare professional. For urgent symptoms, seek emergency medical care. Please contact us with the order number, product name, lot number, expiration date, and a description of the concern so we can review it.

Still have a question?

Review use before it becomes routine.

Send us the product name and your use question. For medical, medication, allergy, or under-18 questions, involve a qualified healthcare professional before use.

Testing, Quality & Sport Rules

Built for review before use

Use this section when certification, drug testing, eligibility, or product verification matters.

NSF Certified for Sport certification mark
Where can I verify NSF Certified for Sport® status?

Product pages identify certification status and verification details when applicable. Athletes, parents, coaches, and program leaders can also use the NSF Certified Products Search to look up certified products by product name, company name, or lot number.

Are your products safe for athletes subject to drug testing?

For drug-tested athletes, the most responsible approach is verification, not assumptions. NSF Certified for Sport® provides an added layer of independent product review for products that carry the mark, but no supplement can guarantee eligibility or eliminate all risk for every athlete in every program.

Athletes should verify product-specific certification status, review the product label and lot information, and confirm rules with their school, team, league, athletic department, compliance staff, or governing body before use.

What does NSF Certified for Sport® mean?

NSF Certified for Sport® is an independent certification program used by athletes, teams, and organizations that want additional product review. When a Letterman Standard product carries the NSF Certified for Sport® mark, the product page will identify product-specific certification details for review before use.

Does certification guarantee eligibility for every athlete?

No certification can replace the rules of an athlete’s school, team, league, athletic department, or governing body. Athletes should review product-specific certification details and confirm rules with their coach, athletic trainer, compliance staff, or governing body before use.

What does CGMP mean?

CGMP stands for Current Good Manufacturing Practice. For dietary supplements, CGMP refers to manufacturing and quality-control requirements that cover how products are manufactured, packaged, labeled, and held. In plain language, it supports consistency, cleanliness, traceability, and quality checks throughout production.

Are dietary supplements FDA approved?

No. Dietary supplements are not FDA approved before they are sold. CGMP production also does not mean a supplement is FDA approved. Letterman Standard makes product information available so athletes, parents, and families can review the label, suggested use, warnings, allergens, quality standards, and testing information before use.

Do you share testing and quality information?

Yes. Our goal is to make manufacturing, certification, testing, and quality information easy for athletes, parents, families, coaches, and program leaders to understand. Product pages and the Testing & Quality page explain available details.

Do your products guarantee performance results?

No. We do not promise shortcuts, cures, or guaranteed performance. Nutrition products should support a well-built routine that includes food, hydration, sleep, training, recovery, coaching, and qualified healthcare guidance when needed.

Still have a question?

Ask about certification, testing, or sport rules.

Send us the product name, lot number if available, sport, and governing body so we can point you to the right verification and quality information.
