Testing & Quality

Built for review before use.

Athletes and families should be able to review how a product is made, what is in it, and what quality standards apply before adding it to a student-athlete routine.

Prelaunch status: No Letterman Standard products are available for purchase yet. Manufacturing, testing, and certification details will be shown product by product as product pages are published.

Our quality standard

Letterman Standard formulas are being built around transparency, clear documentation, and responsible athlete-focused review. Product pages should make quality information easy for parents, athletes, coaches, and program leaders to understand.

  • Active ingredients and amounts will be clearly listed.
  • No proprietary blends will be used.
  • Manufacturing and quality details will be shared in plain language.
  • NSF Certified for Sport status will be identified by product where applicable.
  • Testing, certification, and quality documentation will be connected to the specific product whenever available.

What cGMP means

cGMP stands for Current Good Manufacturing Practice. For dietary supplements, cGMP refers to manufacturing and quality-control requirements that cover how products are manufactured, packaged, labeled, and held.

In plain language, cGMP-aligned manufacturing means a facility follows documented procedures designed to support consistency, cleanliness, traceability, and quality checks throughout production.

  • Controlled production: products are made under documented manufacturing procedures.
  • Quality-control procedures: quality checks are built into the manufacturing process.
  • Ingredient handling: ingredients are reviewed, handled, and documented before use.
  • Lot and batch traceability: production records help connect finished products back to the materials and batch used.
  • Packaging and labeling controls: packaging and labeling steps are part of the quality system.

NSF Certified for Sport

NSF Certified for Sport is an independent certification program used by athletes, teams, and organizations that want additional product review. For any Letterman Standard product that carries the NSF Certified for Sport mark, the product page should identify that status and provide verification guidance.

Until product pages are live, Letterman Standard should be treated as a prelaunch brand, not as a store with purchasable certified products.

Why this matters

Sports nutrition should not require guesswork. Clear labels, responsible guidance, quality documentation, and product-specific certification details help athletes and families make informed decisions without relying on hype.

Always review the label and consult a qualified healthcare professional before use, especially for athletes under 18, anyone with a medical condition, or anyone taking medication.
